Neal A. Markowitz
Neal A. Markowitz joined Thorsnes Bartolotta McGuire in February 2012. Before arriving at Thorsnes Bartolotta McGuire, Mr. Markowitz distinguished himself as a litigation and appellate attorney. A sample of Mr. Markowitz’s accomplishments includes representing the petitioners/appellants in the seminal cases of Gafcon, Inc. v. Ponsor & Associates 98 Cal.App.4th 1388; Jimenez v. Superior Court (2002) 29 Cal.4th 473, and Coito v. Superior Court (2012) 54 Cal.4th 480.
He currently practices in the areas of consumer protection, personal injury, products liability, insurance bad faith, medical malpractice and appellate law.
Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Mr. Markowitz headed west to attend the University of Arizona, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Resource Economics in 1996. Mr. Markowitz attended law school at California Western School of Law where he graduated cum laude in 1999. No too long after graduation, Mr. Markowitz opened up the Markowitz Law Group with his two brothers, Aaron and Josh. That firm would soon join forces with a prominent plaintiffs’ litigation firm in the Bay Area, where Mr. Markowitz honed his litigation and appellate skills.
Mr. Markowitz is admitted to practice law before the all the State and Federal courts of California. He is a member of the San Diego Bar Association and the Consumer Attorneys of California.
When not working, Mr. Markowitz enjoys spending his time with his wife Lilly, daughters Juliette, Tegan and son Thatcher.
